I thought it was strange that S2000-4u wouldn't allow me a test drive, apparently they don't want to get the cars dirty or so I was told.
Kettering Honda won't let anyone test drive a S2000 in the rain after one of their customers put one upside down in a ditch.

Sticky Request... even it you guys decide to lock it. People need to know what they are getting into before stepping foot in the place.
If I had seen this thread I would not of gone near the place. If you google the owners names there are other horror stories out there connected to them, I only wish I'd had the fortune to see this thread before putting a deposit. Other people can be warned just sticky it please.

That's not unusual. A lot of dealers are reluctant to let younger drivers or people they think might not be serious test drive a S2000.

996? Ah, now there's your mistake, Alex - had it been a 993, a "proper" 911, they'd have realised that you knew about cars and were serious....
I suppose their response to your point would be that that is what franchised dealers are for - but I do tend to agree with you that I'd be reluctant to buy a car that I hadn't driven for myself to check that it felt "right".

Wasn't my car, borrowed it from a friend as I'd just sold my VX220. Wouldn't ever dream of buying the 996. 993 Turbo 4 for me please or infact any of the last aircooled.
Back to topic, didn't get a good impression of S2000-4u bearing in mind I'd driven from Essex to look at the cars on a Saturday. No one came to speak to me, didn't let me drive and cars were dirty and not particularly well presented, perhaps I was there on an off-day?

Couple of new points from me;
I would like to understand in what context Sean Horsey is posting on here and in what context people are taking what he says. Here's some facts;
The web domain name www.s2000-4u.co.uk is registered to Sean Horsey but it's listed as "The registrant is a non-trading individual who has opted to have their address omitted from the WHOIS service".
The current operational business is Sports & Prestige of Four Marks Limited. The only Director listed is Dominic Waterman and the Company Secretary Charlotte Billimgton (maybe a spelling mistake at Companies House there). Sean Horsey is not registered as an Officer of the Company at all, although he may be a shareholder, or major shareholder or, indeed, own all of the shares but I wonder why he didn't appoint himself as a Director if he is a (major) shareholder.
This company was registered on 9th August 2006 and has not yet submitted any accounts - the accounts should have been submitted by 9th June 2008 but they're overdue. That'll be a

Hi Chris from FD2 and ITR DC5 Forum might I suggest buying cars from on here? There's a lightly modded 04 for 12k that appears to be excellent value
Or one of those 16,500k FD2s ?
