Flogging a dead horse?

How do you know the mileage is false? have you got the details from the AA check? they hopefully got miles on each service so you can tie that up..

Owners. If the seller said 1 owner and you ound out 3 owners through your documented searches then I would agree and expect a refund to be provided since the vehicle was not as described.

Any other reason.. i.e. changed your mind, found a nicer one elsewhere etc then tough. deposit should be lost. What is the point in one otherwise if you know you will get a refund.

never pay a deposit on a car unless you are actually going to buy it, there will always be another one. Lesson learned I reckon.

Aside from that not sure about S2000 4 u, would be nice to see traders on the forum and getting feedback from genuine sales in the same way as we see on the other forums.

I'm still awaiting a response to my question of why you are selling warranties you consider to be poor?

I don't think it would help Mr. Horsey's relationship (which he needs to maintain) with the warranty companies if he answers that, LG.

As an example, the Ford Fiesta sold with a two-year insurance-type warranty as a Mazda 121 had a lot of exclusions that the Manufacturer's three-year warranty didn't. Obviously, since the 121 was the only Mazda that NEEDED the 3-yr warranty, some were disappointed...

Guys, take your disagreements private please.

We will NOT tolerate personal disagreements being fought out in public.

You both have phones and feet. USE THEM.

Thanks.

Just a quick follow-up from my post a few pages back.
Sean has been in contact with me privately and we have now received a full refund of our deposit. (Thanks Sean)
After an offer from S2000 4U to hold the deposit for another car was made (like any salesman would, me included) we rejected this and received a cheque 2 days later.

Our refund was due to a mechanic inspection pulling up a accident repair we were not informed of at the time of placing the deposit (not sure if S2000 4U new about it also to be honest as an RAC history check didn

I bought my S from s2000-4u in December 07.

Here's my few comments;

Don't know who Sean is as I only spoke with Dominic. Only disappointment was the lack of petrol - mentioned a full tank at some point during the discussions but it was red-line when i picked it up. To be fair, I never called them to complain so it couldn't have bothered me that much, could it?

Dominic was very helpfull and all the paperwork was present and correct, as far as I can tell. He was using standard sales techniques (having spent 22 years in IT Sales I know most of the techniques) but wasn't overly pushy. You have to remember that their job is to sell cars and you have to push customers to make a decision sometimes - you can't pay the mortgage (or the helicopter fuel) by waiting for customers. A succesfull business needs to be driven hard; I should know.

One thought occurs to me, from reading through ALL of this thread. Many of the vehicles sold by S & P of Four Marks will have been previously owned by someone who is also a member on here. So, why not have the people who have bought from them post the mileage on the paperwork at the time of purchase and a partial reg. Then, the people who have sold could recognise what might be their old vehicle and verify, or otherwise, the mileage and, maybe other important information.

I'd happily start the ball rolling:- RN54xxx 38k when bought in December 07.

8/10 from me - full tank would have earned 9/10!
