How's about we try and keep this thread on experiences? It's 34 pages long and probably 30 of those are just opinions.

Now I'm one of the culprits here because I had one of those experiences and threw around load of opinions, but if this thread is to serve as guidance for others looking to buy, it's rapidly losing its usefulness...

I think any 0 day posts or non regular posters should be taken with no regard.

If new posters are that keen on only posting in this topic, then maybe they could provide some evidence.

The fact that there is 34 pages of positive and negative press should be easily interpreted by any prospective buyer.

No smoke without fire and all.

But as others have suggested this has to be kept factual.

I really don't think people on this forum simply recite other people's comments without having first hand knowledge of this company - give us some credit! When I state they lie about a car's history or that they let you out on a test drive on illegal tyres or they are rude and arrogant I am stating the truth and fact - because it actually happened.

We would not need to let fly with negative comments about this company IF they did not consistently provide poor customer service and the rest of the problems that have been listed on this forum. If the company suffers because of the negative comments on here then it is down to them - I'm sure people would prefer to buy from a dealer and be done with it.
don't forget the car you have now came from there when i bought it and it's been spot on with no faults , it's a lovely car .it was still on the same tyres when i sold it to you after one and a half years driving (although i didn't use it much in the last 6 months)

so not all the cars they sell are bad

it's just the after care when you have faults after buying from them that sucks

as i said before the first car i got from them was rubbish in the extreme , i just let my guard down buying it because i thought being a dealer of many S2000's i was in good hands, boy was i wrong

so i would say to others, go there with very wide open eyes and remember they are there to take your money,

but to be honest i think selling S2000's are easy money for them or they would move on to a different Marque that would have more profit, it's not a loyalty thing

As a company we felt it was about time to come on to the Forum and answer publically a few comments.

Warranties

We offer various Lloyds syndicated after market warranties these vary in term and claims value we agree that warranty providers will do what they can to wriggle out of payment however this is not an isolated issue Home Insurance Travel Insurance they all try it on.

We do however have instances whereby our customers have issues with the warranty company however they bring it to our attention first and we use our weight to fight the claim through I agree this is not ideal but we cannot force third parties to pay the bills .

Extended Honda warranties are also available however please do not think for one moment that they will pay all claims either.

Deposits

As in line with ALL CAR DEALERSHIPS deposits are only refundable when there is just cause.

However in the example of Bash UK we are not prepared to refund a deposit purely based on the fact that he has simply found a car elsewhere cheaper and whether you believe that comment or not that is the facts on the transaction.

Glowing testimonials

It is sad to think that certain individuals when they see a glowing reference have to question it there has been scenarios on this forum whereby no comments at all have been placed in months surely if we were placing our own comments on we would do it every week !! The facts again are that we do not or do we have the time or inclination to monitor this site on a daily basis.

In 2007 S2000-4U sold 240 + cars over 35 were to repeat customers upgrading we want all comments to be positive but we are realists as a majority of the negative comments are without substance and hearsay from people we have never met.

Lastly Juventino ............

Attached is a description from a Audi dealer of the Porsche you came to see the car had a fsh as described on the Add and all tyres were legal for the members and guests of the Forum we have attached this for one reason only .

Juventino has stated that we let him drive a car with bald tyres the vehicle had no history etc etc ..........

Sorry but these comments are blatant lies.

We do want to work with S2KI not against and would welcome PM s or even open debate on ways to improve ALL aspects of service .

Re: Tyres. The full link cannot be transfer however the front tyres measured 1.8mm and rear measuring 2.5 all within the legal requirements for road use!
further more the eventual purchaser had tyres replaced F.O.C. But for the purposes of this post we wanted to defend the comment left by Juventino.

Edit by Mikey K - I have removed the auction information as I'm sure you didn't intend it being in there!

Hi Sean / S20004U...

Speaking as a member rather than a site CO, (as Ian / LL have more background on this than me) I am glad that you have posted up - it would be good to clear up all these issues and have an S2000 specialist who is intereted in participating in the community and also being a friendly / trustworthy source of cars. It would be a great position to be in that if a new member posts on the forum looking for a new car, we could say 'those guys at S20004U are a good bunch to deal with'

Clearly there are a number of negative comments on here, some positive ones, and a number of questionable ones from people who have only just registered to post here (not necessarily saying these are not genuine) The debate will go on and I doubt it will get anywhere other than those who have posted negative stuff and yourselves getting more heated.

There will always be the odd negative bit of press for any business and as you admit there is no smoke without fire, and you can't please everyone...

I know there are plans in the pipeline for a Vendor Member Section so this may be an avenue which could imporve relations in the future.

Of course you don't really have to prove anything to the members club, but being onside is better than offside if you see what I mean, and in your shoes I would be moving heaven and earth to try and appease the situation. Again, i'm not saying past issues have been your fault or not, as I wasn't there, but there do seem to be an unusual amount of "comments"

Our trouble as CO's and moderators is we do not know what the truth is on EITHER side, and people are entitled to write their views. This makes editing posts a little difficult.

...So hopefully the slate can be wiped clean and something good can come of all this - but the ball is in your court. To sum up I don't think it would be too hard to make thigs work.

Presumably you take commission from the insurers when selling their policies, despite the fact you think the product offered is not a good one?

Surely, a good and conscientious dealer would do its utmost to provide a quality product in line with the rest of its aftercare service?

Of course, I'm not sure there is such a thing as a good and conscientious 2nd hand car dealer
