Yup, that's right folks, my little brother (22) is in the market for an S2000. His last car, a Toyota MR2 has been sold and he now wants something a little more grown up!

Good news is that he hasn't got the dreaded OCD that I have but he does want a black one with half red and black interior.

His budget is 12k.

The purpose of this thread is a follow up to the mammoth 26 page thread on S2000 4 U. I will post a full review of their service and expertise and dispel or confirm any rumours about them.

The review will pull no punches and cover everything warts n all.

Here's to welcoming another young one to the fold - let's just hope he gets a good one (although I will be checking with a fine tooth comb to give it the AB seal of approval) and doesn't stack it in a few months!

with respect AB, whatever your experience of that set up

it should be viewed in the wider context of the great range of experiences that people have had with them

I think the threads should be combined

maybe not now, but at some point

And they will probably read this too, which may alter the way you are dealt with. If you want to be cynical

with you both. In all honesty, I am very cynical but will give them the benefit of the doubt.

However, I will post my experience on this thread. I will be paying particular attention to well known niggles - I won't list them - too much of a head start for them.

You all know how picky I am with my car and the same will apply to when viewing on Thursday (abeit age will be taken into consideration).

I did want to view the car tomorrow, but my brother was told it won't be ready for viewing. Something to do with it being valeted and not arriving until 5pm this evening. Hmmm. I'm already a little apprehensive.

It would be interesting to have someone who knows the car, to play dumb. Im guessing all their customers know very little about the intricacies of the S2000 - the little things an owner would spot....

The pre booking to view thing has always put me off. It gives you the impression something is happening in the background... Id rather hear "yes come along, its there ready to go!"

But it might genuinely need a wash

It will most definitely be interesting. Here's hoping it is all above board.

For 12k you're presumably looking at an early car <01?

Isn't half-and-half leather only an option on later MY's?
