I found his term 'Rev.2' decidedly stinky but assumed he had taken it from the website

Good luck with the purchase.

Well, I've had a call from the DEKRA chap, the inspection is complete.

The bodywork is mostly in a good condition, a few chips/scratches that have been filled in that I didn't spot.

He mentioned a couple of things that may need sorting in the next 6months, air conditioning to be recharged, maybe get the tracking checked as there is slight wear visible on one wheel. Also he spotted some excess oil underneath but he think this may be attributable to a loose sump plug (I'm not a mechanic btw so I'm just quoting verbatim, I'm waiting for the report to arrive in email), but recommends I get s2000-4U to check this out tomorrow.

Getting the DEKRA inspection is certainly something I'd recommend to anyone, seems like a no-brainer if you're not a mechanic.

I'll put a bit more detail in here when I get the report through, see if anyone can spot anything that looks serious. It looks like I'm just about set to bite the bullet though.

If anyone purchases a Royal Navy Blue PX53 GYU from them, ask where the hard top is if it's not volunteered as being included.
For the record, Sean tells me that the car is definitely being sold with the hard top - there's a glitch with the stock list on their website which hasn't recorded it.

Good to hear.

Do you have a number for DEKRA? What do they charge for a check?

it's all here Moreno - http://www.dekra-vi.co.uk/, the charge varies pending on the year. For S2000s it looks to be

Bit toppy, but I suppose its worth it.

I would rather get a Mechanic friend to have a look at it.

When I bought my 'S' from Sean, I did so without having seen this thread. As soon as I saw it, I immediately got on the blower to DEKRA and had the check done......
