Perhaps, there are many that have had a good buying experience with S20004U
I had a bad buying experience (sold with Fresh MOT but BALD Tyres)

OK name two of them and I'll be impressed, if they ever sell a good car it will be by accident.
But the car was and still is perfect.

I bought my car from them and got a good service shoot me down but I like my car. But in all fairness I don't trust any mot from dealers and if I was buying. A car I would all ways consider getting a second option of using aa/rac for a inspection prior to buying

Bought an E46 M3 from them just over four weeks ago and had a service two done on it today and was given a list of faults with the car, the most serious of which is both rear coils are broken. At purchase,Steve Hines, their salesman led me to believe I had three months warranty with Autoguard warranties. The leaflet I got from Autoguard at the time listed all items that would be covered under the warranty,an extremly extensive cover I thought(which included coil springs). I tried unsuccesfully on several occasions to pay an extra £595 to extend the cover to two years. Turns out the cover is with S2000 4U and not Autoguard and is not worth a w**k. Steve Hines said coil springs are consumables like tyres.I shall be speaking with Citizens Advice Bureau on Monday. I would advise anyone considering buying from them to steer well clear.

OMG I feel sick reading this now, if only I saw this a week ago!! Just bought an XC90 from them on Tuesday, driving home lost all power to the centre console and stereo, Wednesday morning it wont start and the garage are struggling to diagnose the problem. Was also found to be sold with no kit to change the spare wheel, which ive been told is illegal, no dvd for the satnav and the tow bar had been removed.
Spoke to Sean who has said he wont offer a refund!! Spoke to trading standards who said I am well within my rights to get it refunded but is there anything I can actually do if he isnt willing?

Please help!!!!!

SOGA states that it is the supplying dealer's responsibility to prove that the defects weren't there at the point of sale. Apart from not offering a refund, have they offered to fix the problems? if not, then you can take them to the small claims court.

can't wait for these jokers to get some payback, how did you pay for the car? If it was on your credit card then you will be covered and you can claim back your money through the card company

If like me you paid cash then you won't have much joy sorry to say, they will just ignore you

Welcome!

You've probably found us via Google & now know unfortunately with whom you are dealing.

There's Money Claim Online (google). That's the only way forward.

Basically, if he won't agree to a formal rejection, CCJ is your only option.

If you don't feel confident, instruct a brief. Although that can be bad money after good...

Is good advice, I am a lawyer by trade and specialise in Commercial Litigation. I offer my views as personal views rather than in my professional capacity, but The Money Claim Online process is by far the cheapest and most effective way to obtain Judgment against an individual or company that you consider owes you money.

Just remember that a CCJ is only worth something if you can actually enforce it. I.e. the company or individual must have some assets to satisfy that Judgment.

If anyone wants to direct message me for my "personal" views, please feel free to do so.

Seems to me these guys basically operate on the law of averages. As long as there is enough of a percentage of people willing to drop several K on a car without EVEN TAKING IT FOR A TEST DRIVE then they are quids in. I'd imagine they can spot the mug punters a mile off and everyone else gets the cold shoulder, hence why intelligent buyers are ignored on the forecourt.

Can I just say.. this outfit are a typical, "used to be bothered" set up of traders that will be buying absolute garbage from the 'block now. Tighter margins of profit brutally expose the companies integrity, if they are not prepared to at least swap tired consumables before handover to a new customer, or at least changing/fixing them up properly after buying from their auction/trader swap. Whoever is in charge of buying their stock, needs a serious kick up the you know what. You simply cannot run a business like that, reputation is king, even more so when you're in the performance car sales game. In the old days, margins on cars were easier to make on. Not now.
Simple thing is, they choose not to spend money on cars (or not much) they have in their possesion, wherever it was sourced. Very Arthur Daley like, it doesn't cut well with a customer hence this 50 page thread on here. Do they even have a decent mechanic that would replace consumables, or has a wide working knowledge of mose cars? It seriously seems they don't! From what I read, it seems that s20004u just buy it (cheap), wash it, sell it. Worry about it later.
I'd give them less than 12 months to survive, but then they'll be back trading as something else!
