Default Buying a Second Hand S2000

Hi Guys,

I'm interested in buying a second hand S2000. I've had a read through the "FS&W Forum Posting - PLEASE READ" post - and it was most helpful.

What I wanted to ask here was what should I expect to get for my money if I have around 10-12k to spend - and is it worthwhile or should I be saving up for something a bit newer / with less miles.

Many Thanks!
Kevin

The lower miles you can get, generally the better with these cars - but if the servicing it spot on then a higher miles one will be ok.

You will be looking at a 40-50k MY00 car I would think.

I would go to Title Topic "Tecnical FAQ v2.1" and have a good read it will give you lots of information.

I would save up and get more for your money

I bought my first one brand new about 3 years back.....now sold

I since bought one with approx 60K on it for about 12 grand. So this one cost half my last car - and can I tell any difference? Nope, I cant! all exept the clutch buzz but I can just about live with it! Just find one thats been well cared for and serviced - I looked at quite a few and bought one from off here - take your time. They are still good at this age

With 10-12K I'd look at a JDM import with very low miles!

Hey Guys - Thanks for all the advice.

What are the advantages / disadvantages for JDM imports?

Thanks again!

Some JDM's came with half leather and a few other little down sides...

which probably explains why a certain yellow car has it's seatbelts out of the hoops of the seats....
