Can I ask a question here since its relevant?
In the 04+ cars, is the rev limit set to 8k as opposed to 9k in the older cars? I read that on the list of changes thread, but wasnt sure if this was just for the american market cars or not.
Lovely car by the way. After 9 years of wanting one, im hoping to join the fold in the next few months!! Its my realistic dream car!

Good point, well worth considering. But is an earlier S, an 02 for example, cheaper to insure than an 04? Worth finding out too
All this hardcore stuff is nonsense too - to some one who has driven both cars. IMO the 06 is better, however the vtec change over is less agressive, and the suspension is a little softer. (easily fixed with coilovers if needs be) the plus is the car looks fresher the interior is better and quiter and less rattley. The roof has glass and a heated screen.

Good decision. This video explains the difference between the pre and post 04 models.

Cool vid! That red S2000 accelerates very fast for just intake and exhaust mods!

No rattles or squeeks in my MY99, the early car looks way better than the 04> with its silly overstyled bumpers, chrome light rings, crap metal trim with cup holders, a clock and the topper is our tach's dont look like a cock and balls.
