Thumbs up Buying a certain cat D car

I'm interested in buying NIOP S2000 for sale on Pistonheads. Does anyone know anything about the car? I've changed a few mails with the owner and the car looks lovely but there's something weird. He said he hasn't found pictures of the damage. It sounds unbelievable as he has bought it from salvage company and repaired it himself.

Maybe it's easier to buy straight HPI clear car. I just love the looks and color of the car.

Cheers,
Tommi

So many cars out there at the minute at rock bottom prices, I don't think damaged/repaired cars are worth the hassle.

I've had a cat D car in the past, buying and owning it wasn't an issue but selling it on was a bit of a nightmare.

I guess it depends on how much cheaper it was than HPI clear cars but I'd want at least 25% off and even then I'm not sure i'd buy another especially a car as common as the S2000

Thanks scorcher and GLWS . I've noticed your car. Ideally I'm looking for pre-MY01 car because it's much cheaper to tax in Finland. I like your car, but it's not the same as my previous car . If I bought newer car I would like have facelift model and something fancy paintjob like New Imola Orange, Monza Red or New Indy Yellow.
