Button in a Honda next year?

To win you also need to be lucky to have got into one of the best cars, unless you are Schumacher (as demonstrated when he was with Benetton).
Button has not quite got that chance yet. So it is difficult to tell.
He has put himself in a messy situation, that's for sure though. Time will tell, maybe.
Another important point though is that I think Button is cuter. I don't find Coulthard attractive at all. That definitely was missing from this conversation.

At the moment Coulthard can feel pretty hard done to. He's won a number of races over the years, whereas Button's been in F1 for years (6?) and not even come close. Yet Jenson gets non-stop tv coverage if he comes third, and nobody ever cared when DC won. Also, Jenson pulls over as soon as he thinks someone might overtake him, he's good for one fast lap, but not a great racer. When will the JB hype end?
Time to give Davidson a chance IMO
(On the positive note for JB, I remember doing a Silverstone pit walk at 7am in his first season, and it was pissing down and freezing cold. He was the only driver stood outside his garage chatting to the fans and signing autographs. No sign of any other drivers )

having said that, Couthard at a very young age, got an unplanned - but also fantastic opportunity due to the death of Senna .. good on him that he took it.
mansell had a pretty slow career start at lotus.. lots of promise..but failed to deliver in that team (at least 5 years I think) Could button be the same?

Nobody knows how all the cars will be next year with V8 engines, but you have to fancy BAR continuing to do a better job than Williams on recent form.

Williams have got the team management experience and Cosworth the upper hand (currently) on engine development. Just need some decent drivers

They needed to sort their aero earlier in the season on this car - and they needed to sack Webber and replace him with a decent driver. Heidfeld has had a few results I think they've just done a bit of a Ferrari car wise which might be improved upon at the start of next season with the engine changes.
Happy to be proved wrong of course, I'll be supporting BMW

seems pretty unstable at williams all round,
losing engines, losing sponsors, changing drivers, and losing plenty of technical people along the way..willis going to BAR, they just sacked Fischer.. Head was sent upstairs and they ditched another aero designer after the tusk affair...italian lady who's name I can't remember
