i could be wrong
that's how I've always understood it also. Mostly from reading it on the internet forums

Why only 17psi Phil? Your block will take far more than that.

Boost the crap out of that GT35

Considering your old numbers were on stock CR thats about what i though you would make at that boost.

Hi Jay

Yeah we were expecting alittle less due to the cr of the new motor but after speaking to mase last nite at 0100hrs !!!!!!

It is still alittle under power to what he was expecting, and as he pushed it on the stock motor the kit should be making more, if he had not pushed it on the stock motor you would say thats about right for the power, if that makes sense.

So the plan is to remove the ported head and replace with a stock head but with all the parts from the new head, ie valves retainers etc as he thinks that could be the problem, even though with this boost level. The ported head may have gone past the best efficency levels for the S2000, who knows.

Oh and my exhaust is restricting it by 30 hp but he will crank the boost to make up for that, but Mase said its sounds good with the exhaust

we will crank up the boost aswell when the other head is on. the motor will take 40 psi i believe

Shame about the delays but good to get it right. Ive seen plenty of the americans boosting there GT35's above 30psi. They seem to go by the assumption that 1psi = 10 WHP. So you would be a knocking on the door of 600WHp, which is plenty fast enough

well yeah if the boost is turned up it will do that now mase was saying however it will only cover a possible problem that might be there

hell yeah 600 whp will be insane, 500 to 550 would be nice, so hopefully over the next day or two we will see what it can do with the stock head

Then if i go to the track i can always wack the boost up more

i dont get all the boost thing to be honest lol
