If you get get 4 AP2 rears and tires and put them on together in 2's like a lorry you could keep it sleeper and still have traction!

[QUOTE=phils2k,Mar 1 2008, 10:14 AM] taxes will try not to

well if any of you do decide to go FI, remember the dif, as some may know i had mine custom built, and the guy who built had my old one, this is what he said about it, its quiet funny

[QUOTE]

We had to weld there because there was two stress cracks in the housing.
Notice how dimpled the metal is...the housing was so rusted and funky that I nick named it Barnacle Bill lol.gif It is the worst rear I have ever seen or worked on.

Paint will be going on Barnacle Bill tomorrow then off to the cryogenics lab with him next.
As for the internals they are not to bad but, a few more pulls on the dyno and he would have blown apart. One of the bearings on the LSD just fell apart after I removed the LSD from the housing eek.gif

With as much metal that came off wire wheeling and in the blaster booth I could sell him as a lighten diff lol.gif

thought it was interesting to say the least but very funny to
Hey everyone Never posted over here this will be a first,
I am a picture nut and post pics all the time here is Phil's old rear after I cleaned him up
Nick name is Barnacle Bill

Other than a bit of gear wear and a bad LSD bearing he was in pretty nice shape inside. After old Barnacle Bill got back from the cryo lab I set him up with a new
set of bearings, new 4.44 gears, paint, and other needed parts.

A new set of 10.9 screws

Tight backlash

Ready for new service

I wish I took pics when it was removed from Phil's car, it was messy
