Just before i went on holiday a cd in the oem changer stopped playing and the error message 'cd err' came up on the screen of the head unit. since then i have been able to get the head unit to select the cd option or access it in any way. the changer has power as i can get the cassette to load and eject, and the cable is connected correctly but it won't play cd's or even be recognised as being there by the head unit.

anyone have any ideas what might be wrong? is the oem cd changer covered by the extended warranty?

No, it has never been standard fit on the S2000 so it would probably have come with a standard 1yr guarantee from Honda. It's a modified Alpine unit so any car hifi place should be able to look at it for you.

thanks neil, that's just the sort of info i need. i'll try a local car stereo place to see if they can do anything.

If you need a replacement, I may be selling my OEM changer shortly. I will be upgrading the head unit and I think the OEM changer only works with the stock HU
