How else am I supposed to find out (avoiding a "suck it and see" approach anyway)
I reckon it's not, given the construction of the flat and the type of wall, but I just want a "professional" (cough) eye cast over it to confirm.

As a temporary measure I'd suggest using a wodden board, e.g. a piece of chipboard or something just leaned up against the wall
