Default brakes Int. Uprated Discs and Pads

Has any one tried the drilled and grooved discs from these guys with their competition pads (Mintex M1144)?

Apparantly these are out of the same factory as BlackDiamond and the like!

Other wise it will be the grooved EBC discs and Red Stuff Pads!

I run the EBC grooved and pitted disks with red stuff pads, they got chuffin hot at the Rockingham track day but no brake fade at all so impressed with them!

Lower, I have read about yuor discs demise, do you think that was an isolated incident? Drilled discs are all standard on AMG motors, motorbikes and the like....conentious I know!

These are the Turbo Groove Brake Disc..

I think my discs cracked because they were drilled and their demise was brought about more quickly because i was using DS2500 pads.

However, it is a known fact that drilled discs will crack eventually, particularly if they are used in track type conditions.

ISTR that Dembo's turbo groove discs cracked in a similar way to mine, ie through the dimples.

Most drilled discs are for really appearance only. You're much better off with a plain discs or discs with better cooling. For normal road use they will probably be fine but not for proper track use.

I have warped EBC disks in a single day at Rockingham. I had the Turbo Grooves. Whilst I agree that they look nice, brakes aren't there to look nice. I used Ferodo's to warp them though.

The Ferodos seem to be the culprits, no? Wrong kind of pad?

Chilled was it yourself who had the Dixcel discs/pads?

I have Dixcel pads/disks. Dembo does too. They work well. Not cheap.

AS for the ferodo's being the culprit, yes and no. They just show the disks up as being the weak point of the braking system. Everytime you upgrade, you show up which is the weakest part of the system.

Depending on how hard you are on brakes, you may well be fine with the Mintex/EBC combo.
