Brakes Brakes Brakes !
Did my trackday at Bedford today and found my braking performance still lacking even with new discs and pads and fluid (standard honda items) and with fade starting to creep in still.
I have had a read through the forums and I guess my options are as follows -
Keeping existing wheels
- Uprated discs, Pads and Braided hoses with better dot fluid (Bremtech Discs of Brakes International, Redstuff Ceramic Pads, Goodridge Hoses, Dot 5.1 Fluid)
- I've searched the forums and found out that Tarox apparently did a group buy (for the italian section of S2Ki?) with 4 pot front calipers that fit under my standard 16" honda alloys, however I cant seem to find any details of who supplied them so I can get a quote !
- Wilwood 12.2" 4P brakes, or with a spacer 6Pot brakes... how good are these? - https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=299122
Swap to 16" JDM Wheels
- Spoon 4pot monoblock calipers
Swap to certain 17" alloys (do the stock honda ones accomodate?)
- Willwood, Brembo, et al.
I dont want to change anything wheel wise that will impact negatively on my handling, but if going to 17" will improve handling (smaller profile = less tyrewall flex?) then I'll give that a go
Appreciate feedback from you guys as to what you have, and what works well, and what sort of costs I'm looking at.
Thanks in advance

Standard pads are not enough.
I have redstuff on mine now. I'm not sure about them.
Don't get me wrong, MILES better than stock but I can still get them going a bit on the road.
Although, depending on how you drive, I feel that you would use your brakes more on the road, although not has forceful.
I think I am going to go with the DS2500 from Ferodo.
These pads have had excellent reviews from those that have used them.
Not just on the S2000, but a majority of Hondas.
