Just got the car back. Engineers checklist says 70% worn but on front it says advised cust that they are 80% worn! Do they talk to each other?

How are you going to do that if you pay someone to do it? They're not going to let you in the workshop, and if you've got to take the wheels off afterwards to make sure they did it right, then there's little point paying them to do it in the first place.

MB usually buys a new car before the pads wear out.

Stick to OEM or ADL Blueprint pads

garages round my way charge around £25 to change front pads

note: You have 2 pads on each disc. One on the 'inner' and one 'outer'. Sometimes the 'inner' pads can look more worn than the 'outer' pads.
And don't fall for dealer tricks.. get a torch and check how much meat is left.

If you are getting them done and you are staying with stock go to Kwikfit then they will replace them for free for as long as you keep the car.
