Brake & Fuel line corrosion

Brake & Fuel line corrosion
Hi,
Has anyone had their brake and fuel lines corrode?
My problem is at each rear corner where the metal brake pipe joins with the flexible hose the metal pipe is showing a lot of deep surface corrosion (flakes of rust not spots). The pipe looks like it is plastic coated but there is about 10-20mm (from memory) that is bare metal.
In addition, under the car there are the brake and what I guess must be the fuel lines running through a think plastic guard. At the front end of the guard where the pipes start running up into the engine bay I'm getting an area of corrosion that also looks quite severe.
If you did have the same issue what was the cost of repair and how was it done? ie. was the entire length of pipe replaced or was just a section replaced?
Cheers,
Matt

Thats quite normal for an old car, they tend to go at angles. Correc the fuel line does run under the plastic guides
I estimate piping would cost about 50 and would take an hour or two to replace.
