Brake Feel
Hi all
After a :> ahem `spirited' drive , the next day i noticed more 'feel' through the brake pedal - difficult to describe but feels almost like a slight 'vibration' sensation - not disimilar to ABS kicking in - happens more when braking from higher speeds. Could the discs have warped slightly during my 'spirited' drive?
If so do they settle over time??
Thanks again..............

You've either warped your discs slightly or you've got patches of pad stuck to them.
If the vibration goes away it was pad adhesion, if not then you've warped you discs and they need replacing.

It's damn hard to warp road car disks ..
It'll be pad deposit (did you leave your foot on the brake when you came to a stop at some lights? or not let the brakes cool proper before putting the hand brake on?).
It'll either burn off, or get worse

Yes there are small patches on the front pads (and Bibbs i did both - probably pad patches - how long do they normally take to wear out/burn off with normal driving?

Few days .. depends on the miles and style of driving.
Go out for another HARD drive and really use the brakes, and then coast about to let them cool. At lights, you'll have to think ahead and keep rolling, or edging foward or worst case use the handbrake, not the footbrake.

That web article about discs not warping and any judder being purely pad deposition is rubbish.

The S2000's not too bad.
Heavier Hondas tend to be a bit underbraked; especially the Civic VTi, so warped disks are a fact of life. The Prelude VTi has a slightly warped one too, but it's not yet bad enough to cause a problem.
I did clean the cementation off the S2000 with glasspaper once and I haven't has any trouble since.

I've not seen a warped disk yet, but I've seen plenty of pad deposits.
