My Dixcels need cooling extra though, getting effing hot on track to the point of smoking badly. Cooling preserves life.

Search google for AP2 brake ducts. Few options out there...

Agreed.

As stated, the performance of the pads isn't the concern. They handled the heat (kinda) but the fluid boiled and so to extend the track sessions and pad life I need the extra cooling.

This is the closest I've found to a kit http://www.lapponline.com/index.php?...695228f4b43098

I think this is the closest you'll get to a kit but it won't save that much time on installing:
http://www.lapponlin...&cPath=65_66_67

I followed this guide, but you say you've seen a few, this was the most thorough though:
http://robrobinette....0BrakeDucts.htm

I've fitted them to my 2008 and actually fitted them in the main front opening using these scoops from demon tweaks:
http://www.demon-twe...let/864/0/40416

You'll want these offset ones if you want the ducting to drop down intime for the radiator. All the other stuff can be bought from demon tweaks, 3m of ducting is what you'll need if you do it plus the aluminium inlets.

A few pics of mine. My bumper was in the bodyshop at the time, when I got it back I found that I had to move the scoops up right to the top by the bolts where the black bar meets the silver beam and add some 1cm spacers to bring them in slightly otherwise they werent in the airflow. I also trimmed off the black bezel at the top as well so I could move them right up. I also had to then angle them back about 15 degrees. Knowing that should save you some time, I wasted ages lol. It'll still take a good half day.

They survived their first track day fine and no brake fade this time, although I was taking the braking a bit easier

Hope this helps
Cheers.

Got any shots of the front with the bumper fitted?

Nice job of the ducting, looks very good indeed

Did you leave the heat shields on and did you do any static flow tests?

I'de be up for the Super Touring one also, but I suspect it doesn't come with the ducts? That makes it pricey. I'd bet Dixon could nock up a mould and supply a kit. I think if I had the ducts, I could DIY the rest...

I don't think it comes with the ducts, but I couldn't go with them anyhow as my induction kit would have been in the way.

I ve not done any tests, I just know they should help. I left the heat shields on, as per the guide I linked to the guy there said he had been running with no heat shields but had to fit them again so he had somewhere to mount the piping to.

Some good stuff on his site.

Well, that super touring kit is easily DIY

Cable ties
Some tumble drier heat ducting (Yes, that's what it is)
few pop rivets
aluminium tube
high temp adhesive
Drill
hammer
snips

I won't mention ducts because unless they are forged carbotanium fibre lattice, no one will be interested. You could make them, tastefully, from a plastic pop bottle.

All in, you are looking at £20.
