Brake Calipers
Something Fletch said to me at the Yorkshire meet a couple of months back has got me thinking about painting my calipers in red, I think this would look next to the black body.
Has anyone had any experience of this? If so is it easy to remove the calipers? Any recommendations on make of cleaner/paint to use?
Any help, advise or photos of painted calipers would be fantastic.
Thanking in advance

I (personally) think it looks quite iffy. No offence anyone. It gets worse as they get older as well. I`d either change to non stock calipers, or stick with the stock colour. I wouldn`t paint the stocks.

Red calipers can look nice. They can also turn pinkish. As seen on an NSX on sunday.
Luckily, I hadn't eaten at that point...
I'm pretty sure most people have painted them on the car, rather than removing them. Do a search and you should find plenty of info.
-Brian.

Hi Hotshot,
I remember this, I was talking about my mate's new Boxter. Full black with the only colour being red brake calipers. I thought it looked kinda smart (for a Porche).
Admittedly they are "proper" red calipers not painted. I've never seen the results from a painted one so I can't comment.
If you want to splash out you could always try Rick's Calipers .
I've been thinking about this mod myself but I'm not sure what would go with MC Blue. Besides I've just forked out a fortune for a titanium knob.
[edit] Was going to go for aluminium but got seduced by the dark side.

Found a reasonable example for ya...
Got it here... https://www.s2ki.com/forums/showthread.php?...&threadid=83040 . The home of the black S2k.
P.S. I definitely prefer the clear indicator lenses.

Oh yeah... Meant to tell you. Danny passed first time. Thanks for asking.
His Mum's forked out for a used punto for him. Might keep his mits off my S2 for a while. I think I'm safe though, he knows he hasn't got much chance until he gets some experience. I may let him have a little go when the weather gets better... like June 2006.
I'll tell him you were asking. Cheers
BTW Guys, we're talking about Donna's younger brother.
Another teenager let loose on Britain's roads.
