a bloke at my work has one of these

http://www.tuningnews.net/news/040203/alpina-z4.php

now fugly it may be..

it may look fat..

he never washes it..

but the huge tyres and grumblin zorst tell a wee bit of truth.. a fire breathing version of the previously quite snaffy Z4. and rare as rocking horse poo too!

i wonder how much it cost?

I love them and would certainly have one if it was not for the awful depreciation you get on them.

Give it a go in you S SiCr but you would certanly loose.

Not to every ones taste but love these wheels.

Not sure you're right about residuals Chris, numbers are limited for the V8 Rdstr & this puppy is also supposed to be a 'proper' sports car. I think demand may outstrip supply. Time will tell.

Isn't the ride on the V8 hellishly hard and crap on UK roads? (TG review with s2k & poxster?)

I would guess the Alpina will be even harder!

My neighbour has the Alpina - he's got the baby Aston on order but he thinking of passing it up, that's how much he rates the Alpina! I'd never have a Z4 but the Alpina is very attractive - exclusive, plenty of power and sorted suspension.

Mikey - I imagine the Alpina does not have the run flat tyres which is the main contributor to the Z4's poor comfort.
