boot release won't work

Default boot release won't work
The button inside of the glove box wont open the boot any ideas?

Using the key is the only way to open the boot.

Solenoid gone on the boot release mech? That or a loose / split wire in the bundle that runs in the boot hinge.

That was 4 years ago, thing is my key fob has never opened the boot.
