You should be able to push them by hand and there is no lock off feature. Its possible that the first time they are used they could be a bit 'stuck' if they have sat open for a long time.

I would not put them on your car until you can move them by hand. Be brave and add more force. A tap with a rubber hammer to get them moving could be a good one to try.

For anyone that's been looking and only returning the carbon fibre ones, the guy does have the others in stock. I just mailed him.

10 minutes was spot on - I also need to buy longer bolts though - I did mine without the washers, I'll redo it on the weekend.

No new tips from me, everything went smoothly.
