Subjective - depends on the resolution you have you computer set at, its not that big on mine. I'l change it but it may look tiny to some, and I was trying to show what the carbon ones are like.

Thanks Blade!

So most people just re-used the bolts then?

2 threads protruding and always with a washer!

Glad to see that the Junior Service have at least maintained some standards...

But seriously, loving the idea of the gas struts! MC Blade, where did you get the snorkel doofer and rad plate?

*sigh* mine have been sitting in customs for over a week. The brightsparks keep pitching up at my flat during the week to collect import duties... even though I've asked them countless times to take them to the post office.

Out of interest, how long does the install take? And anything I should buy beforehand?
Any idea what you are going to have to pay??

R50 (US$6.25) or about 12.5% of the value.

The order, including shipping to South Africa, but excluding customs, was US$68.94

I was taught just before they started enlisting numptys, and then teaching the numptys less than they bothered to teach us - they cut a full year off the course I did

Snorkel is an EBay jobbie Spoon replica in fibre glass (I wet and dried the shiny black it came in and resprayed it matt black to match the airbox), Rad plate is a ARP Rad plate for spoon snorkels, and to finish a Spoon sports sticky

Imported the Rad plate from the USA worked out a pound or so dearer than it would to get here, Some times you get lucky, it was the only thing I got hit for.

numpties!

Unfortunately, our numpties are merely a reflection of society. However, they are the top 10% and as such, the rest of the country must be in an apalling state (present company excepted).

That said, at least all they need to do is "black box out, black box in". Even the Honda Main dealer couldn't stuff that up... right?

Ebay-fest inbound this evening... I can feel my bank balance shrinking already!

Just make sure its s spoon replica, the J's replica requires a bonnet "hump" and I have one sat at home doing nothing as I got sent the wrong one first off.

Quick Question - My hood dampers finally cleared customs - are you supposed to be able to compress them by hand (with force)? Even if I push mine against the ground I can't compress them. I don't want to install them only to find out I can't close the hood?

Maybe you have to 'unlock' them somehow?
