I fitted a pair of NRG "hood dampers" a while back and I've had no problems to date. The bonnet now opens more making it easier to top up with oil and work on the engine in general. My only complaint is that mine where second hand and one of the ball joint housings has split slightly so the damper moves a bit and rubs ever so slightly against the wing. No big deal tbh.
One thing to note that because the bonnet opens more it can rub against the rubber/plastic shielding at the bottom of the windscreen, again no big deal but worth mentioning.
I was going to get a pair of Tein's but I don't see how they can justify that crazy price tag for them
