Default BMW's Hot-Hatch Contender?

http://www.sky.com/skynews/xml/article/0,,...-216248,00.html

It'll have the 3-litre straight six from the 3 and 5 series, so that means 265bhp, and it should be reasonably light. An RWD hot hatch with 265bhp does sound tempting. The best of both worlds, perhaps?

It could, if popular even lead to an 'M1'. Or the unofficial follow up if you like, to the M-Coupe...

And it will still be way too expensive and look fugly.....

That will doubtless not stop it selling in bucketloads though

The follow up the the Z3M Coupe will be the Z4M Coupe if you believe the rumours.. few more than 265bhp too

Will look like shite though...

Tim, 3.2l in mine = 321bhp according to the bench dyno..

marque defense?

no way - BMW dealers are crap, BMW customer services are crap, BMWs are (on the whole) driver by badge snobs, most BMW cars are mediocre.

If it has a M in it's name then it's a different matter on the mediocre front

End of contribution.

That's the old one, still used in the 330 coupe and convertible. The one in the new 330s is 265 bhp.
