The S may get a slagging about its steering but I can guarantee that the Z4's is worse. In the S it is quite difficult to feel what the front tyres are doing, but in the Z4 it is the complete opposite, you feel too much, but the Z4's rear is very numb and feels a little detached.

I like this cos it means I have still not found a good reason to replace the S with anything for a similar price

Good review but a car that ugly would have to have something really special going for it to make up for the looks and it only sounds OK from what you have to say about it. Also, I don't like the idea of traction control or whatever else taking over from the driver - one of the reason's I bought the S was that its design ignores this sort of thinking.

In grey, it looks like one of Dali's dreamscape creatures.
Nice use of the "Calos Fandango" phrase

I thought it was more like a early Van Gough dreamscape myself, dark and heavy

Good, thoughtful, review.

The roll hoops are the worst bit.

That Engine looks just like the one in my 530d

Does that mean that my 530d is a BMW sports car?

it is a very good car and i am still not sure on what to get in september out of the 2 (s2000 or z4 3.0). the dsc is a good part of it, when you are not looking to drive it hard and when you are, it is a nice feature to have when you want it..
