BMW Plastic screen cleaner
Hi Guys,
After checking out the forum over the weekend I rang BMW up and ordered a tube of the rear window paste. I asked for the cleaner used on z3 plastic windows.
I nipped to the dealership an hour ago and was given a bottle of cleaner. Whilst having my lunch i noticed that its actually glass cleaner and when i checked on here the part number is totally different.
I took it back to BMW and the snooty gimp behind the desk said that its the replacement for the paste as they no longer stock it. I asked if it will do the same job and he says yes.
Looking at it though, it just says glass cleaner. the part number is 83 12 0 009 881. Has anyone used this or am I (as suspected) being mugged off by BMW?
Thanks in advance

I have a part used tube of the BMW plastic screen cleaner. Worked pretty well, but be careful to not get it on the hood.
I've had a replacement hood with a glass screen so don't need it anymore.
PM your address if you want it.

I have 3/4 of a tube you can have for free if you pay the P&P.

I've owned 5 rags tops, 3 of which had plastic screens. You realy don't need all these plastic type polishes (which I've tried), a good clean with AG SRP will do the job just the same - remember it's the inside that tends to cloud not the outside like most people think.
