Default A BMW driver would like to make the following statement....

"The other day I was cruising along as usual coming onto one of my
motorways, which was very busy with inferior cars. First off, I couldn't
believe that the volume of traffic DIDN'T slow down for me AT ALL as I
came off the slip road! I had to squeeze into a barely big enough gap
between two cars in order to get onto my motorway! (The driver of the car
behind me did realise his mistake though and honked an apology to me with
a long blast of his horn.)

Haha, funny that you are saying that... last night on the way to the movies, a guy in a BMW cut off a friend of mine and then slammed on his brakes because he thought my friend was following to close. This all occured on the ramp to get on the freeway...once the invincible BMW got on the highway, he got up to at least 110, changing at least 3 lanes for every car he passed.

I assume you watched this from the safety of your rear view mirror?

I followed a Z3 through some twisty corners last Sunday and was amazed at his ability to brake coming out of corners and overtaking whilst cars were coming the other way!

Actually, he had no ability whatsoever.

Blimey - a truly international response on this one..!!

And it seems those loveable Beemer drivers are the same the world over - it's nice to see that some things don't change with international borders, local culture, philosophy and societal tendencies.

Maybe Standards International (SI) could get some kind of international standard BMW yardstick going on it?

There was a list in the Metro free paper this morning of the UK's top ten hates - things that people found especially irritating. It probably won't surprise anyone to find that "BMW drivers" was one of the items in the list!

Oddly enough it does tend to be drivers of BMWs who behave like that !

This is true in most cases, since I've had the S, I've had a lot of BMW's tailgating me but it doesn't really bother me, as I have nothing to prove...
But they don't all drive like complete arses, well I know one guy who doesn't...Matt who was at the last track day in his 328i, is a sound driver. On Friday morning he joined the small S2000 convoy down to Hullavington he kept behind Guy and was very well behaved...
