530D is the one to buy. Lots of torque and engine is very smooth. You won't know it is burning the black stuff. Only buy Auto. The car is really nice but that is a personal opinion.

if your not bthered about the slight noise on the diesel then that would be better. both engines are very good but as i said, if you dont mind the noise the diesel is .2 of a second slower, has better mpg and lots of torque. i was stuck on the M1 today for 2 hours in a 330d(same engine). wherever in the rev range you put your foot down it picks up nicely. they realesed a 545 btw ;-)

The Fiat Multipla, Z4, 7 series are all hideous in my book. I believe his designs have also hit sales.
The 5 series front reminds me of the old woman in Gary Larson cartoons with the butterfly rim glasses. Personally, I'd go for the old 5 series.
