If they are LED lamps ... you do know they may well be polarity sensitive - i.e. they only work one way round.

Yeah they are Cree LED lamps, and I tried taking them out and turning them around but nothing. I tried another set of bulbs that I have, a lot more bulky, they work but you can't fit the light casing back over them when they're in. I'll be using those for my sidelights.
