She recently has been asking about my S2000 I last owned and drove with her as a 2 year 8 month old girl. Seems a friend of hers mother has a new man in her life...who drives around in a Saab 900 convertible (bless) & Danielle wants some roof down action again ('drive it loud daddy' was a favourite utterance from her as well as 'roof down daddy').

Highlight of my read through Autocar yesterday in the back garden in the 4pm sun...was when pouring over the details of the new Boxster she pointed at the grey one in the picture & asked is that the front or the back end...I nearly wet myself laughing... I told her it was the back eventually...she then thought, looked me in the eye & said it looks like its going backwrds though Daddy? I had to agree.

My wife knows I miss it as I spend most of my driving cursing soft top owners with roofs up, Audi TT Roadster with roof's up & headscarves on and all manner of lady Boxster owners up here who think its a 4x4 and spend more time bumped up kerbs than driving them.

Used to love crisp winter mornings roof down & that long way into work...

Still, two beautiful daughters now make up for it...just upset that the missus wouldn't let me call the second girl Honda...as I sold it to buy a family car so I could get everyone in...

Also 50 mpg helps

My 9 year old son always asks me to slow down past bus stops etc. so he can pose......

My 4 year old daughter on the other hand, always shouts "Roof down...music on" ..and always but always says.."its good isn't it" when Vtec is hit.
