Bl**dy Hell!!!
I bought in a CD into the office which I have only ever listened to in the S2000
Stuck the headphones on select a track and wow.....it's like a different CD, I can hear instruments that I never knew existed, it's like the sound from the S just masks certain frequencies
I am glad I've not spent too much on the ICE in the car now

I think it a bit of both really.
A car is not a good platform for sound.
Home system are not that good either unless you spend serious money on good quality speakers etc.
I base this theory on my last home system i could not hear some metal being beaten in the background of a lighthouse family song.
With my new system which is expensive and high quality it can be heard clear as day and i did double check as i thought i was going mad.

Yeah, but where's the VTEC accompaniment?
If you have to add gas/petrol to it, Honda makes the best!
But all the noise testing combustion has sadly left the Honda engineers almost deaf. As a result, Honda radios are bottom of the line in the fidelity department. Well at least the radio door works flawlessly!
I replaced the radio in our 97 Odyssey with a $110 Pioneer and left the original speaker in. Incredible improvement!
