Default Bird shizzle damage on new paint

Car collected with shinny re-sprayed front bumper on Weds, noticed (mercifully small) bird cr4p spot on it this morning. Wiped the offending pigeon shizzle off but it's left a dull spot in the new paint

Hopefully it's just taken some wax off with it, but if it has damaged the new, and presumably soft, paint, does anyone have any tips for restoring it. I'm guessing polishes and T-Cut type products are a no-go on new paint, but assume some non-abrasive wax will be OK?

Any advice gratefully accepted.

Cheers,

you can polish it with a bodyshop safe polish (3M etc) with it being new paint and bird dropping being acidic you may be in trouble...

Thanks Andy. Is it better to leave the paint to harden a while longer or get on to it ASAP?

Tried wiping it with a bit or warm water and car shampoo first ?

Yeh a light polishing now won't do any harm, less than some apprentice and his rotary

Baby wipes are pretty good to get bird muck off with, the damage wouldn't have gone any further than the clearcote so a bit of polish when it's hardened should be sufficient to restore it.

Might need 3m green top followed by black or yellow top compound. Good job you caught it early on fresh paint!

Edit* tcut will be ok, bodyshop use abrasive compounds to polish fresh paint anyway
