Default A big thank you

Dear all

I have lurked on this forum since I bought my car back in 2004, unfortunately I wrote it off in the wet last Friday night. - Sheer stupidity on my part I am afraid. I was going to the Honda day on Sunday which I missed.

I just wanted to say thank you for all the bits of advice I have picked up over the years, I am especially grateful to the offer of a lift to the Honda day (I didn't feel up to it)

The cheque from the insurance company should be here in a week or so ( I have already agreed to their offer which I though was quite good). So it is time to look for a new car, the expanding family dictates something slightly bigger - but still a second car.

I guess the car will be stripped through a breakers, I had only done 27k in it. It was a RNBP with gunmetal wheels. You can PM me for information regarding the state of the engine I wouldn't want someone to buy it without knowing all the details.

Neil

oh dear it is in the wrong place can some one move it

Are you buying it back from the insurance and breaking it - hence the post in the FS section?
Or are you saying goodbye?

No I am not buying it back, just saying good bye. I was trying to gauge what the price should be for settlement.

I know what you mean, and it's good that you wanted to say goodbye. I sometimes think that the S has made me a much better driver, learning that there are limits to a car has made me think about how I'm driving a lot more. Good luck with your new car though...choose something practical, but make sure there's at least one thing about it you love.

I reckon Dembo still needs an engine?
Why not make an offer for the salvage mate, bits are VERY easy to sell.
The seats and engine go in a heartbeat

Sorry to hear this Neil Just goes to show that even with 5 years experience behind the wheel the S2000 can still catch you out.

Hope you get everything sorted with minimal fuss.

See you back next year when you've bought another one You know you will

There really is no noticeable difference.
