Default Best Place to buy Map Sensor?

Hi Guys,

Have posted a bit about my problem with warm starts before (Problem on Startup), but it doesn't seem just limited to warm starts as the car has misbehaved on cold start ups on occasion. Once it's got over it's hissy fit the car is perfect, no other hesitations or idle problems.

Now, I've spoke to Honda about the problem and they don't really know what the problem is (said if theres a problem there would be a CEL!! typical...). I can let the Service Manager have the car for a few days so he can see the problem for himself. I don't have a problem with this but feel they just won't find the problem or the car will run perfectly ok in their hands which will mean the problem has not been resolved and has left me without a car/incurred fuel costs and no pleasure

After reading quite a bit on here I'm quite sure it's the MAP Sensor - I think I want to try a new one first to see if this cures the problem, if not then it's going into Honda while under warranty.

I've checked Hardtopguy and the price is $53, but shipping is $65!! I've sent them and email for an actual cost as if it costs that much to send something that fits in a jiffy bag and weighs nothing then I won't be ordering from there. Anyone ordered one before from them and got a better price? $10 for shipping is what I would expect maximum considering we send glasses and sunglasses to the USA for around

Might be good to try and test someone else's MAP if they will let you.

Yeah, not sure if theres anyone on here thats local to me (Canterbury area in Kent), don't see many if any S2000's locally

Found a UK business that does them, not sure if they are the updated version with the tie wrap like I have on at the moment.

Sorry to bump this post up again but is the HardTopGuy in the states the best bet for buying a new MAP sensor still?

Honda just quoted me £265.38 inc VAT (!)

Failing Glen, try CFL Honda in the US. Far cheaper than HUK

Can you not buy a hondata one? They are designed to handle high intake pressures for boosted cars but no reason why you couldnt use one.

That's right and they are around £100 each.
