Please have a read of the Forum Favourites Sticky, which is there for common questions like this: https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/108...il-brakes-etc/

There's a huge debate on which is best, i think it comes down to personal choice though. I use Fuchs Pro S titan 5w40 in mine but others prefer Castrol edge or Millers nanotech meybe

Hey Jodie, a quick search will reveal that there are around 20 of these threads every year which is why some of the more grumpy and mean-spirrited amongst us are posting in a grumpy fashion The sticky Lovegroova mentioned is there to stop the repetitive grumpiness we all suffer from.

For the record I use Castrol Edge and have only blown one engine up.... Although that wasn't oil related

This is a great community so welcome along, remember the search function on the forum may be a bit pants but it's your best chum in the first instance

Subjective, but using the wrong oil can unearth the DEADLY TCT snakecharmer noise

The grade to go for is 5w 40 and you want a Fully Synthetic oil.

Which one? Depends largely on budget and preference. Popular choices have already been mentioned, all of which are not amongst the cheapest:
  • Millers Nanodrive
  • Fuchs Titan Race Pro S (I use this one)
  • Castrol Edge
There are much cheaper alternatives but it all depends on how much you value the added protection of a more expensive oil versus the scare-mongering of using the cheaper oils.

Have a search and a good read up on oil choices and remember: advice is nostagia - recycled for more than it's worth.

I tend to go into the 'Advanced Search' option, type in my keyword, tick the Search Titles Only checkbox and select the 'UK & Ireland S2000 Community' under 'Find in forum' section. This way you eliminate alot of irrelevant results.

I read a great thread that spoke about Grade III Fully Synthetics (which Castrol Edge apparently is?) up to Grade V Fully Synthetics (like Titan Race Pro S) - was very interesting. I'll see if I can find it.

Welcome and all the best!
