Default Best Cold Air Intake for MY02?

Hi guys,

I was thinking about fitting a cold air intake to my standard MY02 and was wondering what you would recommend best, both in terms of brand to buy and advice of where to fit the kit once purchased.
So far from what i have read, i understand that i should stick to Injen for performance or buy AEM in case i am more interested in sound plus reliability (Air Bypass Valve).
I have also read about 4-IG, but not really sure about that.
Your expert opinion will be invaluable and much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

K&N FIPK. Nuff said. Fit it yourself in a half hour. Wonderful sound.

K&N FIPK +1

I had one on mine - noise was awesome. Loved it so much that I'll be getting a new one once there are more pennies in the bank!

K&N FIPK +2

Take the airbox lid off in the mean time to give you some idea of how it will sound.

K&N FIPK +3.

The K&N Typhoon is cheaper and has a slightly more aggressive sound thanks to the metal intake pipe vs a plastic one...but the FIPK looks better IMO and the shield can be fitted with heat reflective tape to bring the intake temperature down slightly.

Mugen/J's = £££££

Yes. More throaty lower down and screams in VTEC, also less whistling on tickover. Get one bought
