Hope it's better when you get it back

I'd be interested to know what you think of Priory's service department too. Maybe a Cambridge pub-meet is in order?

I'm busy early next week, but could do 21/8, 26/8 or 28/8? Do we want to meet in Cambridge or outside? Don't want to hijack this thread so I'll start another.

If you get the valve back I can put it on some of the precision measuring gear at work and see where the bend is and whether it probably done before or after installation (a bow along the full length of the valve means done before installation, a bend only at the top or bottom means that the valve guide has protected the majority of the length of the valve restricting the bend only to the exposed section)

I don't want to panic you but I had a valve go in a Nissan 200SX. Paid lost of dosh to have it fixed. Month later another one went.
After much wrangling AA and Nissan UK supported my claim that garage should have changed all sixteen valves whilst the head was off (since this is bulk of cost).
Eventually had complete set changed and money back from garage.
Moral of the tale - make them check everything thoroughly and if they can't explain to your satisfaction how one valve got bent make them change the lot.

Good Luck

Don
