I also use it but on those days that I know that it will not rain. If there is a chance that it will then I keep it off but I do use it on a regular basis.

By contrast, me and Mrs Useful went for a run down to her parents last Saturday - Cambridge to Dorking, in Surrey. Tonneau-less, however.

It was fine for most of the journey; but for about 10 minutes, it hurled it down around the M3 -M25 junction. As we were travelling at pace, the rain just breezed over our heads.

Got a bit of spray on the rear view mirror, though..
That was the one - we were heading down to Dorset via the scenic route!

Then of course, one forgets that if teh windows are up, they lower first, before the roof commences to move!

At pace on the M25 we were averaging 15mph acording to the SatNav. Rain does NOT fly off at that point.
You need over 35mph to get the rain to fly over (when you can also choose either windows down for water all over the door switches - or up for water in the back of the neck), and a towel in the boot should you get stuck for any time at a slower speed! I've had my tonneau fitted and undisturbed for the last week and have got caught in light rain a couple of times - yesterday I was following a Z3 who also had the roof down in the wet (which proves it must be fun )

Typical Newbie question - Do the cars come with a tonneau as standard?

I ask the question as a soon-to-be owner (new import on 1st Sept.). When I first looked at an S at my local dealer he showed me one stashed in the boot, but at the time it didn't dawn on me to ask the question, and I haven't thought about it since.
If they aren't standard, how much am I looking at, as this thread has convinced me that I'd like one with the car?
Cheers.
