Default Before and after wheel cleaning

Just picked up my 07 Black car today and after a mamouth drive back from Devon I got straight to work on the rather Manky wheels.

Before cleaning all four wheels looked like this, Yuk !!!!!!!!!

After some scrubbing

Now I can start on the rest of the car

Congrats on the new car, not a bad job on the wheels either though you could probably do with drying the water droplets before they dry themselves and leave marks ... I know I know anal.

Oh i hope that is just a water droplet running down the six o clock spoke, or is it a big scratch ?

Anyhow, congrats again on the new car, looking forward to pics of the rest of your machine

The inside of the wheels eventually become impossible to keep tidy

One of my best mates works at my local Toyota dealer, which luckily means I'm able to get the car on the ramps every few weeks and get the wheels all off and given them a good clean up as well as under the wheel arches and the entire underbody. Once the underneath is all clean it will be undersealed for a bit of extra protection

The Dixcel pads and brakes don't help either...

What's happened to the brake discs? I would expect them to be bright silver shiny after a mammoth drive, or did you not use the brakes on the way home?

These wheels do come up a treat but......... the inside rims and the back of the spokes are badly discoloured and no amount of cleaning with ordinary wheel cleaners will restore their original look.
I did read that somebody has painted/sprayed the wheel backs and inner rims black, after all they are in shadow and out of sight.
