I hate running errands or going somewhere for a purpose in the S - I much prefer to just jump in and just drive - no watch, no destination.
Now the beater (Alfa 147 2.0 TSpark) - drives okayish - boring but fine for commuting, shopping and running errands - don't give a crap about the paintwork or the leathers.
When I jump back into the S - wow! Puts a smile on my face everytime

Garage Queen or high mileage, dented, chipped 'slighty worn'?
I understand the point Zero is making. If it sat in the garage for two years and you covered 2-3K then sold it you might regret all those trips to work when the sun was out, the road clear for a mile or so and you were in the beater.
Done the Garage Queen with my last car, not this time. The S gets used daily.

My advice to anyone contemplating buying a 'beater' to compliment their S2000 would be don't bother
On several occasion i have had to drive company cars/Beaters/ GF's Tin Box etc & can't wait to get back into the S! Prefer it to any other car i have driven.
I do understand that in certain situations a Beater is a good option. Not for me though!
Don't think they have S2000's in Hell so driving it while i can.

There are times when however much you want to take the S it just ain't on. Like taking 91 year old mother and wheelchair out!
Bought a Civic which my son uses. Then we swap when needed. He gets some fun; the S gets used and Mum gets her outing.
