Battery replacement
Engine turning over slower and slower each time I start it. The car has not yet failed to start but I suspect that I will need a new battery soon. (MY05 car on origonal battery. Now 7 years old).
I have searched the forum for information, so I know about the radio code reset, but will there be problems with the alarm when I disconnect the old battery and fit a new one?
Incidentely, anybody bought one lately? Best price/best place etc. I seem to remember raeding on here sonmewhere that OEM was best?
Thanks in anticipation.

I'm going to Halfrauds tomorrow to replace mine, don't know if I'll get their brand or whatever. What I do know is they jump another battery on so as to not need recoding the radio or alarm. Mines a CAT D so I dont have the radio code and I'm not ready to replace the head unit till my birthday.

Hi,
I have literally (in the last half hour) just changed mine. Exactly the same situation as you, MY05, original battery, and starting to turn over painfully slowly. Anyway, Bristol Honda had some in stock so I nipped over and grabbed one, £67 supplied, or £85 fitted.
Then its just a case of finding a 10mm spanner, a dab of grease (I used copper slip), and swapping them over. Easy 10 minute job.
The hardest bit was clearing off the sand from the new battery
No alarm problems, just had to recode the radio and reset the clocks.
Hope this helps,
Rob.
