Bass Shaker Install...
Can't make my mind up about putting a sub in my car, so i decided to install some bass shakers until I did decide. I bought four, two for the car, two for the sofa! The bonus of the bass shakers is that they can run off your head unit, and I've installed a cross over to send the bass signals to the shakers and the high frequencies to the speakers behind the seats...
There are a few places to put a sub, and the one I favoured goes into the spare wheel area. However shipping the sucker from the states was expensive, and i don't have the time or tools to make my own. PLUS, this is where the amp will end up because everything on my car (except the enginee bay!) is being installed steathily! No messing with them OEM lines!
I liked the install in the passenger footwell, but I need the leg room for the missus. Anything that impedes on the boot space is a no-no, and the tool space was a no-no because you still need them when you have the foam puncture repair cans.
Here are the first pictures of the bass shakers being mounted to the seat. In the following weeks, I'll post pictures of the amp and wiring install to show how "easy" it is!
Bass Shaker fixed to ally brackets, fixed to the seat...
Overall shot...

Same concept as dual-shock controllers for PS2, they produce vibrations to give the feeling of bass. You still need good speakers to give you the depth, but these things will give punch to the soundtrack!
