So *THAT* is why you bought her the Dyson Just so you could steal her original one for the garage without being moaned at.

Yep, those stickers on pas side need hair drying off it's true
It was a new belt. There is not a lot of space for the belt but i'all check it all again when I rebuild next week. The pulleys all felt solid and bearings ok.
could be the tension I put in was not enough (pre auto tensioner)

Got the SC off again. Some of the idler pulleys are more free spinning than others so i'm pondering just replacing them for peace of mind.
I know people have replaced just bearings with mixed results, i've got one pulley in the kitchen workshop and the bearing is currently in quite tight so i guess i'd need to press these out and new ones in
Rang TTS, he said they do supply pulleys and bearings but couldnt be any more help than that really

so.. MOT day loomed large and 2 new boots were ordered for the front (they were comically worn on the inner edges from excess camber)
result? FAIL
the front plate is too small
the exhaust is too loud
the front ps lower bush is bushed
onwards .. ahem

ouch... so if i go aftermarket bushes i probably need the front bush (£47 for a pair), the rear compliance bush (c£150 for a pair) and probably the caster adjuster (£146! for a fancy bolt )
>£350
do the std compliance adjusters tend to survive? i need to get my spanners out i guess
and a balljoint separator

Crikey. I'm getting scared of opening your thread - each post seems to be a record of how you spent another £500! Are you on some sort of Brewster's millions endeavour to get hold of some inheritance?!

tell me about it
the compliance bush had totally failed and had to be cut out (luckily i have a suitable saw) you can see the remains of the bush in the arm below (i didnt cut this bit, it was already dead)
what's annoying is the shit design of the ARB links, they have a tiny little allen key fitment in the middle to unbolt against and that failed on mine so wrecking that part, a fitment like that wont take much torque especially once rusted

so i need new compliance bush, new ARB link, new adjustment bolts.. this is not going to be cheap
