After much chatting to ASNU it turns out OEM seals are fine
And we share lower manifold cushions with Hyabusa
https://www.finjector.com/eng/bottom...u_30h-p-731488
Anyway I went OEM and paid through the nose.. plus a new cat to cat back gasket
Will fit these later and see what she does (where is the gritted teeth emoji?)
No MOT so can't go anywhere, garage Dyno which will give my nimby neighbours the ick..
I'd recommend a rag stuffed under where you work, I dropped one of the mount pegs and it's washer down on top Of the starter more than once. The front mount peg hole is a little stripped, hence I guess why it fell off in the first place. They could have a longer thread tbh. Bad Honda. Anyways back running. I have a grabber tool which helps in these situations
Turning into a mission so far
MOT £45
Injector service £140
New lower seals £27
Plugs £50
Exhaust gasket £10
Rocker gaskets £68
new wideband sensor £100
Need another MOT now.. it's running leaner.. ahem

And passed
So clean injectors, new manifold seals and a new cat back gasket, removing oil from the plug tubes and replacing the tube seals sorted it
Not sure which but probably a contribution from all
I'm chuffed because this is the bit of MOT where it's really unknown to me whether it's fixed. My O2 is playing up so I switched feedback off too for the MOT, gonna fit a new one and put feedback back on with the decat

So the classic additions car cover is good, I'm impressed
But it's big. Storing it is a problem as it's never dry this time of year. Taking it off takes a minute, it has straps under the front and rear. But it's then big and wet.
I don't leave it on all winter as the car still gets light use
It's currently in the boot
Great for when the classic goes al fresco though

It did freeze to the car in that icy snap though. Think it would come off with warm water but I didn't try
Some of the cheap ones were dire imho
I'll post a pic but it's off atm

I was looking at the NA one today while in the gym and I noticed something
The fuel rail is mounted on spacer studs - they screw into the inlet manifold and the fuel rail locates on the top - this puts a set pressure on the injector to seal
mine have this arrangement. A rubber washer on those studs. That is going in the bin and I'm going to use some studs and make my own spacer. It really bugger me how they only went in a few turns, not very honda but this is a fudge imho to accommodate a longer injector body. Not impressed

I needed similar when mine was supercharged. I only needed some thick washers on the tops of the studs though. Those spacers on yours do look pretty thick compared to the length of the threaded section. I'd be nervous about that too. It's not taking much load, but having that little thread engagement can't be good.

The studs are 8mm at Mani end, 6mm at fuel rail so not as easy as I had hoped
Ordered a few studs which should work

Studs arrived.
They are on, just fine adjustment needed now, will use the stock one to try and match in terms of pressure on the seals
