Haha that's one way of describing it.

It deffo liberates low down ponies and doesn't smell as bad as I recall so it's staying till MOT

On another topic I need to get some protection underneath, starting to show it's age. Pondering JR classics up in Donny

Inspired by Nomadics words and a shot of boredom this evening I pulled the rear bumper off.. then the lights

It's not bad, I've seen worse for sure
Those rear bumper bars are rocking horse shit these days I believe so that is off to be stripped and powder coated, the rest I'll remove loose rust, treat it then dinitrol it a few coats

You can see most of the rust is on the supports for the lights and the centre bumper support

When I removed the crash bar there was similar but less severe behind its mount points

Regreased the shifter and replaced the bushes today

The small plastic bush right on the end of the selector was actually quite worn, grease was ok, not as bad as some I have seen but I cleaned it all and replaced. The honda stuff is not available so I used a tube of high temp grease

result is I do think the shift is improved. I haven't driven it as the car is still in bits as above awaiting the bumper bar to come back powder coated so the proof will be then. I have had the odd issue finding first at the lights so will see if this helps ..

Everything from Cox bar the grease

The decat is on while we tune for that with the custom exhaust this car has on currently. AJ did some fiddling with my idle using remote desktop, now behaving itself - good work dude

The AFR gauge seems quite bouncy so need to investigate that, seems stable under load though

Waaay louder with decat.. my neighbours must ****ing love it (I live on a street with a right load of nimby nobs.. even my missus is one, bollocking me for driving up the road "so loud")

Ordered all my service parts for both cars from Cox, £200.. half of which is oil. I need to do quite a lot this year alas including diff and gearbox fluid (1 each).. the oil was £50 for 5L.. I guess I am sponsoring all these premier League exiles but not Russia thankfully
