MOT passed yay
800 miles in a year thanks to dog not liking it and the e doing the heavy lifting.. (I've not commuted in a car for years so WFH not a factor)

Need to do some brake pipes next

i got this at MOT time

Offside Front Brake pipe corroded, covered in grease or other material (1.1.11 (c))
so i decided to check it out

I wasn't happy with what I saw so I'm biting the bullet

The 2 rears need fed over the subframe and the front px goes across the rear of the engine. A good flaring tool is £150+ and you also need a bending tool so either hard lines or braided is not cheap

I am talking to HEL re custom lines as I have seen somewhere on here do that. It's my current plan to replace from the valve back and both fronts using Flexi hoses

I bought cunifer, plus a hand flaring tool on ebay for nowhere near that much. Worked a treat.

Did you manage to feed em over the subframe ok? It seemed doable to me though I have read otherwise.

I watched a lot of videos on flaring the pipes.. maybe too many

There is a lot of rust either way

I dropped subframe. But this was during covid. So decided to underseal and polybush whilst there..
found it was just easier with subframe out of way.

I had already dropped the tank for other reasons, but the main issue might be the brittle clips breaking as you try and remove the old pipe. They'll be very delicate after this many years.

I will..

Assuming they fit. It's not the easiest thing to measure

But I have a Google doc of it all.. they are made apparently so might get em for the weekend

I'd be wary about doing the whole length of brake line with the braided hose - it is still a flexible hose so will expand slightly compared to the steel pipes under pressure, might not be noticeable though. I've replaced my rear lines with cunifer ones but like others had the subframe off at the time, you don't need a super expensive flaring tool (I use this one -

) and the pipe can easily be formed by hand. https://www.s2ki.com/forums/uk-ireland-s2000-community-25/wallaces-s2000-track-race-car-build-1209112/page8/#&gid=1&pid=11
