I'll wager that their opinions would have been a lot nicer and reasonable if you weren't an S2000 boy. People make deals and don't end up buying all the time. Dealers know this and TBH IMO they don't care, it's all part of the job.

If you went and bought a 911 (or anything other than a S2000 for that matter) having 'let down' the (poor defenceless ) dealers selling the boxster I bet they'd be all horrah, great purchase and thanking you for putting the boxster deal on the site.

geordielads opinion on the S is based on what his s2000 mate told him. I'm sure there's some people who say the Boxster is no good too. Until you drive them, you'll never have the most objective view.

And you're surprised? S2000 owners and Boxster owners are the oil and water of the automotive world. They just don't mix.

Why has this thread become so full of anger? I just can't get my head around the problem. It is really because I shopped around for the best deal? Surely not.

I remember when I first posted on that site, someone whose name I will withold, I mentioned to him that some people didn't seem very happy about me asking for a discount and whether I was being paranoid. It seemed that since most didn't get any kind of discount they hated me for getting one. It that really fair? Only question, not blaming anyone.
